Preventing Pregnancy: Diaphragm

A diaphragm is a shallow cup shaped like a dome that has a flexible rim. It fits in the vagina and covers the opening to the cervix. The diaphragm has to be used with spermicide and is about 84% to 94% effective.

You can not use the diaphragm while on your period. Lastly, since diaphragms come in different sizes, you will need to see a doctor to get fitted for one.
