Pregnancy with Endomeriosis

Endometriosis is a condition in which the uterine lining (the endometrium) is found outside the uterus. The misplaced endometruim still acts in the same way it would inside the uterus – during the menstrual cycle it thickens and sheds – yet because there is no way for the blood to leave the body, this results in internal bleeding and inflammation, pain, scar tissue, bowel problems, and sometimes infertility.

However, it is still possible to conceive and give birth to a healthy baby if you have endometriosis. In this video, a woman with endometriosis talks about her experiences recovering from labor and delivery by a caesarian section.

This video features information about pregnancy complications facing women with endometriosis and the potential risks and complications they may face following the birth of a baby.
