Breastfeeding and Sex

Most new mothers have questions about having sex while they’re breastfeeding. One of the biggest concerns is leaky breasts. The hormone oxycotin, which is responsible for the milk let-down reflex, is released during orgasm which may cause some milk to be ejected during sex.

Some couple’s claim to enjoy this experience but if it bothers you, a good tip is to wear breastfeeding pads under your bra to reduce the amount of milk sprayed. Lastly be rest assured that this is all perfectly normal but if you’re still feeling uncomfortable it’s important to be open and honest with your husband and let him know exactly what you want.
