Children And Burns

Everywhere you turn there is a risk of an accident. Here are some tips to help keep your child safe from burns. First make sure to have smoke alarms, both in your hallway and up stairs and check your smoke alarm every month to make sure the batteries work. Also have a fire route planned out in case of a fire and practice fire drills. This may seem like a silly idea but it could save your family’s life one day.

When cooking, make sure to use the back burners don't let pan handles hang out off the stove. And lastly, always run the cold water first when bathing your child. This will prevent them from burning if they fall or climb into the bath.
