Controlling Maternal Asthma

If you suffer from Maternal Asthma the most important thing is to keep it under control throughout your pregnancy. Besides taking asthma medications here are some other tips to control your asthma:

First avoid asthma triggers such as cigarette smoke, dust mites, and pollen.
Secondly you can measure the strength with which you breathe in and out by using a peak airflow meter. Measure your airflow for a few weeks and record your best values.
Lastly be Careful when Exercising. Though exercise is recommended during pregnancy, it could also increase your risk of an asthma attack.

So speak with your health care provider before engaging in any exercise routine.
