Babies and Teething

Teething can be a long process, it may take your baby as long as three years to get a full mouth of teeth.

Your baby’s first tooth usually starts to come in as early as 3 months old. The process can be quite painful for your baby. To relieve the pain gently massage the gums with your finger, or give your baby something cold to chew on.

After your baby has a set of teeth, it’s important to keep them clean. Giving them a a wipe with a gauze once a day will do. Around 18 months is a good time to start introducing a tooth brush. Unless your baby is having a lot of sugar in its diet, you won't really need toothpaste yet. When your baby turns 3, it’s time to make your baby’s first dentist appointment.
