Ultrasound of Baby Yawning

Nap time! A 4-D pregnancy ultrasound video shows a sleepy baby yawning. Yawning in the uterus is thought to be one of the preparations babies make for birth, in addition to blinking.

Mothers need their rest too, and one of the most common pregnancy symptoms experienced by women is tiredness or fatigue. Make sure to get eight hours of sleep each night during pregnancy, and be alert to environmental factors such as poor lighting, improper air circulation or excessive noise that may contribute to sleepiness.
