Introducing Your Baby To Pets
When you have a new baby not only do you have to be conscious of how your other children will adapt to a new member of the family but what about your pets?
If you are going to implement changes to your dog or cats routine make sure to do so at least a month before the baby arrives
Make sure your dog is well trained and take your pets to the vet to make sure their shots are up-to-date and that they’re parasite-free.
After the baby is born bring an article of your baby’s clothing to your dog so that he can become familiar with the scent. Eventually you can bring your dog closer to sniff the baby.
Cats sometimes have a tendency to jump in the crib with your baby. To avoid this, before the baby arrives place something in the crib that the cat doesn’t like; this should stop the cat from going near the crib.
